Yorkville College is looking for - Employment Services Specialist.Job DescriptionWorkshop Facilitation: Facilitate career-counseling workshops to help students engage in beneficial job searches, labour market trends, networking, interview etiquette, information interviews, negotiations, and business card creations. Develop communication and interpersonal skills in order to make students more marketable to employers. Career Counseling: Provide students with part-time, full-time, and volunteer placement positions that enhance their ability to find employment. Assist with career direction and guide students with their self-marketing process. Review and revise students' resumes and cover letters and assist with resume and cover letter preparation. Assist students in becoming more comfortable with interviews by conducting ‘mock' interviews prior to meetings with employers. Employer Development: Coordinate and organize semi-yearly Career Day/Job Fairs. Generate awareness of Yorkville College by targeting industries, recruiting, and building employer relationships for Yorkville College Career Services. Aggressively market Yorkville College Career Services and provide excellent staffing solutions and customer service to ensure repeat business (Cold Calling, Mail-outs, Faxes, Door-to-door, etc.) Generate employment opportunities for students while building a strong rapport with employers. Data Management: Update graduate contact information within the Student database. Input employer and practicum contact information into Employer and Practicum databases. Maintain and ensure proper record keeping and management of resources. Input weekly and monthly employment statistics for the entire campus. Obtain employment confirmations and input them into the Graduate database. Manage Default Management process if needed Manage the Grad process in the database Practicum Coordinator: Recruit various companies and employers to host Yorkville College students. Organize and create practicum agreements between employers and students |
